Life and training(source: Britannica and the MOMA):

Born in Spain, Salavador Dali went to study art in Madrid. He tried many different art styles before settling into surrealism after reading Freud's writings and befriending the Paris Surrealists in the 1920s. He would induce hallucinations in order to inspire his art, a process he referred to as the "paranoiac critical". His painting style, according to him, is meant “to systematize confusion and thus to help discredit completely the world of reality.”.

Interest and construction:

I think Salvador Dali is absolutely hilarious. Just what a weird guy. To be so weird in public. This painting always reminded me of this Stanford photo from like 2017 that is supposed to show you what it's like to have a stroke which I would bet was the vibe he was going for so props to him.

Plan:

Wedge. Roll out several sections of clay to make the top, bottom, and one to wrap around. Make thick enough to stand on its own. Carve some windows or something. Add clocks and other details.

Reflection:

Def not my best considering the time we had. For the next final I'll definitely make sure to plan ahead more. If I had another class I would have made sure to add the details to the clock, the ants crawling across the stopwatch, and I might've painted the whole background and ombre of blue to brown or something IDK.
